Free editorial diagnosis for academic journals

JournalsHQ Service Policy

This policy explains how JournalsHQ reviews, prepares, and supports technical services for academic journals, including OJS hosting, DOI workflows, migration assessments, and Multi-journal service requests.

Scope of services

JournalsHQ provides technical services for scholarly publishing infrastructure. Work may include OJS setup, managed hosting, workflow configuration, DOI support, migration planning, technical review, and ongoing support when agreed in writing.

Technical support

Support focuses on the technical operation of the journal platform. Editorial decisions, peer review policies, content quality, author communication, and academic governance remain the responsibility of the journal team.

Client responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing accurate information, timely approvals, active contact details, content validation, and any internal decisions needed to complete the requested service.

Domain, DNS and access

Some services require domain, DNS, hosting, server, database, or platform access. Delays in access, incomplete credentials, third-party restrictions, or domain ownership issues can delay or limit delivery.

DOI and metadata support

JournalsHQ can help prepare DOI and metadata workflows, review configuration, and support Crossref-related technical processes. Final metadata accuracy and publisher registration responsibilities remain with the journal or publisher.

Migration limitations

Migration feasibility depends on the source platform, data quality, access level, custom code, plugins, file integrity, and current system condition. A migration assessment does not guarantee that every file, setting, plugin, theme, or historical record can be moved without adjustment.

No indexing guarantees

JournalsHQ can support technical readiness for visibility, metadata quality, and indexing preparation. Acceptance by indexing services, directories, databases, or evaluation systems is controlled by third parties and is not guaranteed.

Data and credentials

Clients should share only the credentials and data required for the agreed service. JournalsHQ handles access information for technical work and expects clients to rotate or update credentials when a project or support relationship changes.

Service changes and contact

Service scope, timing, or pricing may change when requirements, access conditions, or technical risks change. For questions about this policy or an active request, contact contact@journalshq.com.
